The Titan employees went out for urban improvement
The employees of the Group of companies Titan took part in a series of urban environmental events for the improvement of Omsk territories.
On April 24, the GC Titan representatives (AO GC Titan, АО “Omsky kauchuk”, “Titan-Agro” Ltd., INVESTKHIMPROM Co., Ltd) went out for citywide voluntary Saturday work, which was held on the territory supported by the company – Veterans Garden Square of Sovetsky administrative district of the city of Omsk located at the intersection of Mendeleev Prospect and Khimikov Street, that Titan has been looking after for over 5 years.
By combined efforts of more than 70 active Titan employees, the garden square space has been improved - the territory has been cleared of household waste, and as a result of the cleanup more than 350 bags have been collected. The benches set in the garden square have also changed and are now covered with fresh paint. Young Titan participants also hooked into common work - some of the employees took their children to the event.
“We have worked in the garden square with a wonderful mood today. I think that it is necessary to involve even more people in such needed and useful events, because work makes us really noble, unites colleagues and families. It’s important to make community cleanup days as family events so that children could see on our example that it’s essential to keep their city clean” the participant of the event, Manager of the production unit for Instrumentation and Automation equipment of the plant “Omsky kauchuk”, Kalashnik Alexander notes.
In addition, Titan supported again the eco-oriented social movement “Clean games”. Today it’s being implemented at Russian national and international levels in the format of team competitions for time required to clean up territory from garbage and separate wastes.
On April 24 as well, the combined Titan team took part in Omsk eco-quest, which was held in the culture and leisure park “Green Island” - the team included employees of the AO GC Titan, the АО “Omsky kauchuk”, as well as “Titan-Agro”. In an hour and a half, the team managed to collect 13 large garbage bags following the principle of separate collection. The sorted refuse was transferred to collection facilities located on the game platform, and then removed from the territory of the culture and leisure park “Green Island”.
“The event is rather interesting – it makes you think how hard it is to get cleanliness in the city. And the one who participates in it is unlikely to throw garbage after that” Krasotkin Denis, Head of the operative service of the electrical department of the AO “Omsky kauchuk” shares his impression of the participation.
It is worth noting that the GC Titan has acted as a partner of the environmental campaign “Clean games”, providing valuable corporate prizes to the distinguished teams.
